Acura

Acura is the luxury vehicle division of Japanese automaker Honda. The Acura brand has been used in the USA since March 1986 to market Honda's luxury vehicles. The brand was introduced to Mexico in 2004 and to China in 2006. Acura was the first foray by a Japanese automaker into the Foreign Luxury Car Market. Acura specializes in luxury and performance automobiles.

The Acura Legend and Acura Integra were the first models introduced to the Foreign Car market. Acura followed up with the revolutionary NSX, a mid-engine vehicle that was designed to be both practical and offer performance usually reserved for more expensive vehicles. The NSX also introduced the VTEC engine technology, a breakthrough for the Honda brand. The period from 1999-2003 resulted in the introduction of the Acura TL, MDX and RSX models, each designed to be built on Honda platforms but delivering superior performance combined with practical design. From 2004-2006, Acura added the RDX, RL and TSX. Like Honda, these cars are renowned for quality and efficiency, and some models are available as Hybrids. Acura has kept innovating, with the introduction of the ZDX, the first car to be built in North America.
